What is Sapphire FUE Hair Transplant?

Sapphire FUE, which is performed using tips made from sapphire material, means that sapphire tips are used instead of metal slits during the channel opening process. As an improvement of the FUE method, Sapphire FUE is not a technique on its own.

It is an application where the channels are at a micro size, and due to the sapphire crystal, healing and scabbing occur faster compared to classical FUE. It allows for an aesthetic result and a satisfactory hair density. The operation time is shorter compared to DHI.

How is Sapphire FUE hair transplant performed?

Sapphire FUE is performed similarly to the classic FUE procedure, with hair follicles collected using micro tips of approximately 0.6 – 0.7 mm. During the creation of micro channels, using sapphire tips facilitates the transplantation of hair follicles closer to each other and increases the number of channels that can be created.

What are the differences between Sapphire FUE and classic FUE?

1- Sapphire tips, with their durable structure and minimal vibration, minimize tissue damage. As a result, the healing process for the patient is faster compared to classic FUE.

2- Compared to the metal slit method used in classic FUE, sapphire tips are more suitable for dense hair transplants. Therefore, they can be used even in advanced stages of hair loss.

3- As the hair density increases in hair transplants, achieving a natural appearance also becomes more possible. Sapphire tips create a more natural look than the tips used in classic FUE.

4- The risk of swelling is lower than in classic FUE.

5- The smoothness of the skin is less than in classic FUE.
